The Caves of Rodophi Mountains

The Caves of Rodophi Mountains

I could not believe what I am seeing when I first entered the Rocky Cave, I truly never thought that responding to that newspaper ad about the campervans for sale would actually lead to a roadtrip and now this! People used to call it the cave that no-one could reach its bottom. The narrow corridor formed by minerals and rocks is too steam to reach the bottom and the humidity is so high that hardly is there a person that Read the rest of this entry »

Cobras and teeth

Whilst visiting Sri Lanka I had the chance to visit the Golden Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, Sri Lanka’s second city. The temple is where the tooth of the holy Lord Buddha is held within a casket, inside a room, within a room accessed down a corridor.

You do not get to see any of that unless you are a monk of the temple or very lucky. Guess I am in category two there then. As I entered the Read the rest of this entry »

Life without a Car

Life without a Car

The sky was dark but not beyond approach and being out of toilet paper, c fold towels, and diapers it was time to give it a go. We had to make the trip to the grocery. There was no other option. I loaded the stroller with baby bag and several large trash bags to put our supplies in on the way home. A blanket in the seat for the baby so that he didn’t get too wet and in Read the rest of this entry »

The Mt Kilimanjaro Adventure

The Mt Kilimanjaro Adventure

Mt. Kilimanjaro is situated in north eastern Tanzania. It stands 5895 m high and is the highest mountain in Africa. Hiking up the mountain is extremely rigorous but many people attempt it every day. Few years ago, my friend and I, accepted the challenge of climbing to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The first day of the climb was harder and colder than what we had anticipated, and by the end of the day our running clothes were soaked through. Read the rest of this entry »

British weather is sooo unpredictable, one day it is sunny and temperatures reach positive double figures yet the next day it is raining buckets. However the times when it is hot and sunny we really enjoy those days like its our last. IWOOT have five gadgets you need for a perfect summer.

1. Having a barbeque is great, but some people have ultra small gardens and balconies while others like portability. The Fold Flat BBQ is amazing as it literally Read the rest of this entry »

Dirty Dancing almost got me killed

Dirty Dancing almost got me killed

When I was younger I almost died because of Dirty Dancing. When girls are younger and watch Dirty Dancing it instantly becomes one of their favorite movies, coming in those beautiful bespoke packaging boxes, the special edition was something that no girl could ever resist. We imitate it and wish that we were Baby. One day my best friend and I decided to go exploring in the woods out by her house.

We found lots of fallen branches and Read the rest of this entry »

My ears are alive with the sound of music

My ears are alive with the sound of music

There are those who like music and those who love music and I am most definitely a part of the latter group. I listen to music when I am driving, when I am cooking, even when I am folding clothes for baby. At any one point during the day, I usually have one, if not two of my headphones in my ears and if I don’t, I am thinking about putting one in. There are a lot of companies Read the rest of this entry »

The Khardungla Adventure

The Khardungla Adventure

After two whole days on the dusty, rocky, and almost non-existent Himalayan road, we reached Leh, the capital of Ladakh. We were a group of eight, three daredevils on bikes and the rest of us in a car. We decided to rest for the day before heading to Khardung La, the highest motorable pass in the world. We could never have imagined that the next day would take us to the brink of oblivion.

Due to some delay, we could Read the rest of this entry »

The Squat

Up until I was eighteen, I’d never seen a real-life squat. I’d seen squats on TV and in movies, and I had a certain image of what one was like – as anyone does who has never been in that situation and is a little naïve – but that was it.

I’d been CD hunting in town and was going through the stuff in my bag when someone said, “Hey, mate.” I looked up, expecting to see a friend or Read the rest of this entry »

Not Technical…Sorry

I’m not exactly a tech-head. That’s putting it lightly, actually. Take this for example: If I was threatened with a gun (ten guns, a rocket launcher, a nuclear bomb…it really doesn’t matter) and asked to explain how many whatever’s go into a kilo-wotsit then I doubt, greatly, that I would be able to come up with anymore of an explanation than if the person with the gun had just asked me kindly.

That said, I do know what a pod-cast Read the rest of this entry »
