Changing Jobs - are headhunters a good thing?

So six months ago I was called by a head hunter who wanted to recruit me across to a different job. I am more than happy with the place I am currently working in, I have freinds, I also have job prospects. I am in no way in a dead end position hoping that one say I will win the lottery and find myself out of here. Far from it. I enjoy the place I currently work with. We are a solid team that are working together to genuinly produce results for our clients.

Now admitedly I’m not 100% behind what the clients do as a business all the time. We have one company who deal in cosmetic surgery. I’m not a big advocator of that, I don’t think that having botox is the way to ensure your happiness. However they pay us regularly and I don’t feel that I am encouraging people to do it, just that I am encouraging them to have it done with our client instead of many of the cosmetic big boys like the Harley Medical people of Maya.

So do I want to get head hunted? No is the simple answer - but does that make them scumbags? I don’t think so actually. If I wasn’t happy with where I was, then perhaps I would be talking to them and I would be listening to what they have to say. Perhaps I wm currently under valued in my job and would gain alot out of moving to somewhere else where I am both appretiated and I am better paid! Being head hunted could have worked out really well for me. I think that if a company looks after its employees, then they are immune from having their people stolen from them by head hunters.

As it is, for now I am going to continue to sit here and work towards helping people who are looking for caravan insurance to go to stoneways, or people who are thinking about buying a tria to go across to the cosme store website instead of paying more at amazon. (and did you see what I’ve done there? I’ve added hyper links so that I am in advertanatly helping them now - as a reader you may well click through!). I am happy where I am, and so that is where I will stay for.

Still, incase things change I have kept his number…!
